Rihanna: All that You should know

Biography
Robyn Rihanna Fenty was born on February 20, 1988, in Saint Michael, Barbados. Her mother is Monica Braithwaite, a retired Afro-Guyanese accountant, and her father is Ronald Fenty, a warehouse supervisor of Barbadian and Irish descent. Rihanna has two brothers, Rorrey and Rajad Fenty, and two half-sisters and a half-brother from her father's side, each born by different mothers from his previous relationships.

Growing up in a three-bedroom bungalow in Bridgetown and selling clothes with her father on a street stall, Rihanna's childhood was deeply affected by her father's addiction to crack cocaine, alcohol, and marijuana, and her parents' turbulent marriage ended when she was 14. Rihanna grew up listening to reggae music and began singing at around the age of seven. She attended Charles F. Broome Memorial Primary School and then the Combermere High School, where she formed a musical trio with two of her classmates.

Rihanna was an army cadet in a sub-military programme; the singer-songwriter Shontelle was her drill sergeant. Although she initially wanted to graduate from high school, she chose to pursue a musical career instead.

Career
Rihanna's career began through her association with American record producer Carl Sturken and Evan Rogers; she met Rogers through mutual friends in Barbados in December 2003. Rogers soon asked Rihanna to come to his hotel room, where she performed renditions of the songs "Emotion" and "Hero".

This impressed Rogers, who then took her on various trips to New York, where she was accompanied by her mother, Monica, to record some demo tapes which could be sent to record labels. Rihanna was signed to Rogers' and Sturken's production company, Syndicated Rhythm Productions, who assigned her a lawyer and manager before the completed demo tape was distributed to various record labels around the world in late 2004.

In February 2005, the president and CEO of Def Jam Recordings Jay-Z requested to meet Rihanna and she auditioned for him and industry executive L.A. Reid, performing Whitney Houston's version of "For the Love of You" as well as the original songs "Pon de Replay" and "The Last Time". On the same day of the audition, Rihanna signed a six-album record deal with Def Jam Recordings, later relocating from Barbados to New York to live with Rogers and his wife.
Come summer 2005, Def Jam rolled out "Pon de Replay," the lively leadoff single from Music of the Sun. Produced almost entirely by Rogers and Sturken, the song synthesized Caribbean rhythms with urban-pop songwriting. "Pon de Replay" caught fire almost immediately, climbing all the way to number two on the Billboard Hot 100 and contesting the half-summer reign of Mariah Carey's "We Belong Together" atop the chart.

The debut album spawned one other hit, "If It's Lovin' That You Want," which also broke the Top 40. Rihanna's follow-up effort, A Girl Like Me, saw even greater success and spawned three sizable singles: a chart-topper ("S.O.S.") and two Top Ten hits ("Unfaithful," "Break It Off").

Rihanna's third album, 2007's Good Girl Gone Bad, continued her success while signaling a change of direction. Whereas her past two albums had been imbalanced -- often weighed down by faceless balladry and canned Caribbean-isms -- Good Girl Gone Bad was a first-rate dance-pop album, stacked with several chart-topping singles and boasting collaborations with Jay-Z, Ne-Yo, Timbaland, and StarGate. The lead single, "Umbrella," shot to number one, as did "Take a Bow" and "Disturbia." Its success turned Rihanna into one of the planet's biggest pop stars.

Rated R was released in 2009 during the wake of a physical altercation with romantic interest Chris Brown, who pleaded guilty to felony assault. The album's lead single, "Russian Roulette" -- written with Ne-Yo -- was one of the year's most controversial singles, and it set the tone for the singer's new, dark direction. Rated R peaked within the Top Five of the Billboard 200, while another one of its singles, "Rude Boy," topped the Hot 100. Rated R: Remixed was released in the spring of 2010 and featured ten tracks from the album revamped for the dance floor by Chew Fu.

Loud, Rihanna's fifth studio album, followed in November and was led by the StarGate-produced "Only Girl (In the World)." That song, as well as the follow-up singles "What's My Name?" and "S&M," all topped the Billboard Hot 100. In November 2011, shortly after Loud's "Cheers (Drink to That)" entered the Top Ten, the singer released Talk That Talk. The single "We Found Love" with Calvin Harris earned the top spot in the Hot 100, and the album peaked at number three.

In February 2009, just before the GRAMMY Awards, Chris and Rihanna got in a fight, allegedly over a text message he'd received from another woman. He reportedly got angry and then hit her repeatedly. The case got handed over to the LAPD, and Brown was sentenced to one year of domestic violence counseling, 6 months of community service, and the judge ordered a 5-year restraining order on him to stay away from Rihanna. In July 2009, Brown released a 2-minute YouTube video apologizing to Rihanna.

Wildest moment
We have to give it to Rihanna; she truly does not give one fuck—and why should she? She's 24, rich, beautiful, and her latest release, Talk That Talk, peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 100 and No. 1 on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. Uh-uh, you can't tell her nothin'.

You may have noticed that Rihanna’s antics have been pretty wild since January, but the misbehavin' goes back even further than this year. From giving sexting advice to openly admitting that she likes to be spanked (and what girl doesn’t?), to showing how to roll a blunt on a bald head in the middle of mosh pit, RiRi's name stays in the headlines.

As if the professional photo shoots and paparazzi flicks aren't enough, she also takes to Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram to show us she’s having a good time—whether on the beach or at a seedy strip club—and occasionally puts up topless photos just to share the love. Whatever she’s doing, this good girl gone bad has our full attention. So let's look back at A History of Rihanna’s Wildest Moments.

Interest
Rihanna is interested in Music, Acting, Fashion designing, partying, pranking and hanging out with her friends

Role model
Rihanna has named Madonna as her idol and biggest influence, and said she wants to be the "black Madonna". She said: "I think that Madonna was a great inspiration for me, especially on my earlier work. If I had to examine her evolution through time, I think she reinvented her clothing style and music with success every single time. And at the same time remained a real force in entertainment in the whole world."

She also cites Whitney Houston as a major influence and idol Mariah Carey has also been cited as one of Rihanna's influence and idol, whose song "Hero" she covered while performing at a school talent show. Of Janet Jackson, Rihanna has commented that "[s]he was one of the first female pop icons that I could relate to ... You have to love Janet."BeyoncĂ© Knowles has been named as a major influence, citing that she was inspired to start her career after watching Knowles on television as part of a Destiny's Child performance.l

Dark side
Rihanna and Chris Brown are both publicly known to love the party scene. They love it so much, that both have been rumored to be overdoing it in the last few months. And not too long ago, both have seen the ugly side to the club scene, as Rihanna was recently forced to spend a few hours in the hospital to recuperate from fatigue, partying, and working too hard; and Chris Brown got into it with Young Money rapper Drake so terribly that both are being sued for millions in damages as a result of bottle tossing.

But after Rihanna’s emotional sit down interview with Oprah, it’s clear that both of the young stars just want to clear their minds of the all the headlines they have been reading recently. As rumors continue to suggest the two are pretty much back together, it’s been made even more clear that neither will ever be able to really do much to end the speculation regarding a possible reconcillation. Even Chris Brown’s relationship with Karrueche hasn’t done much to kill off the Chrihanna rumors.

And even as they fail to move past the rumors of a rekindled romance, both seems to now be haunted with allegations of drug abuse and alcholicism. Chris more recently has been accused of being on drugs after a series of bad photos, and Rihanna has even been outed as an alcholoic allegedly by some in her own circle. But it appears the rumors just got a little more interesting.
Amidst the fiery tweets of Rihanna and Joan Rivers, Kelly Osbourne has chosen to ally with Joan!
But before we get into the nitty gritty of the current battle scene, let's brief you all on what's gone down so far.
Joan caught Rih's interview with Oprah, and after seeing Rihanna confess she still had love for Chris Brown, Joan tweeted "Idiot! Now it's MY turn to slap her."
But RiRi wasn't gonna taking that razor sharp tweet sitting down! So she responded with her own dirty words and said, "wow u really do get slow when you're old huh? slap on some diapers."
And it didn't end there!! Joan continued the harsh back and forth by saying, "Honey, everyone knows: If he hit you once, he’ll hit you again. Read the statistics. PS – Love to have you on Fashion Police!"
So having caught wind of her co-star's Twitter war, Kelly O came to Joan's defense.
